It's my birthday today, and a card from my mother gave me a boost of inspiration. I'm not one to fall for that Hallmark crap, but seeing as my business also had it's birthday, the message felt encouraging: Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars... (Unknown)

I feel like this blog has been a little quiet over the last couple of months, so for the loyal readers out there, here's a glimpse of what's been going on and what's coming next.

This past Sunday Julie and I, for an alternative wedding anniversary (3 years) decided that we would ride the London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation. It was an amazing day, and thankfully, the months before hand we had been spinning 3 times a week and this definitely paid off.

I a brief moment of bored madness, I think the tiredness may have motivated me, I've had a little play with my iSight - and now I'm sharing the freakiness.

Second Life are setting up UK development offices in Brighton and looking for new staff. What's more interesting, is that this job post actually lends weight to something I've been saying for a few years now: Brighton is the UK's answer to San Francisco.

Several years ago I wrote Marbles Squared, a 'lightweight addictive puzzle game' for the Palm Pilot. I would often peruse Google for reviews and download figures, until one day, I found an article that referenced my little game.

I remember, back in 2000, I think, while I was away for maybe my first snowboarding holiday, upon my return, I found my desk (...and my email) had been in constant use. Nothing unusual compared to nowadays, but back then, there was only 5 of us, so I definitely thought: "who's been sleeping in my bed?"
